POSITION OVERVIEW
About the Role
This is more than just a data labeling position. In addition to producing high-quality annotations, you will contribute to building annotation workflows, quality standards, and project guidelines that directly impact the performance of AI models in the IoT and smart device domain.
This role offers a clear career path toward Quality Control (QC) Lead and Data Operations positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate various types of data, including images, videos, sequential data, and point cloud data, according to project requirements.
- Ensure annotated datasets meet high standards of accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Continuously improve existing annotation workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to developing annotation guidelines and quality control (QC) standards.
- Collaborate closely with team members to deliver projects on schedule.
- Train and onboard new team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field (Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, Mathematics & Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc.).
- At least 2 years of full-time professional experience in annotating image, video, or point cloud datasets (part-time crowdsourcing experience is not considered).
- Proficiency with at least one professional annotation tool, such as CVAT or Label Studio, including project setup and configuration (not limited to annotation tasks).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Good English communication skills for interacting with clients.
- Strong reading comprehension of English documentation and annotation guidelines.
- Detail-oriented, patient, and able to maintain consistent quality in repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing, with the ability to interpret and follow detailed annotation guidelines accurately.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience annotating 3D point cloud or LiDAR datasets.
- Experience working with IoT-related data, including AI cameras, sensors, smart home/smart city systems, or time-series data.
- Experience creating annotation guidelines or performing QC/audits for other annotators.
- Background in software development or software quality assurance/testing (QA/Tester).
- Basic Python skills, particularly for reading or modifying scripts used to convert annotation formats such as COCO, YOLO, and Pascal VOC.
